Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team leadership to further develop and implement our content marketing strategy.
  • Develop Social media branding and calendar of content distribution.
  • Help develop and maintain marketing content on company websites, including writing and editing blog articles, white papers, thought leadership content, etc.
  • Create and maintain a content calendar to support overall content marketing strategy.
  • Use research on the latest industry trends and customer issues to suggest content marketing initiatives.
  • Create copy for additional marketing materials, including email campaigns, presentations, flyers, etc.
  • Edit and proofread content for multiple brands and services with adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Work with leadership to understand the nuances of the Sims Brand as well as the Shipping, Freight, and Logistics industry.
  • Use tools and data from various sources, including Google Analytics and Google Trends, to update and enhance our digital content.
  • Establish and track metrics for blog and overall website performance.

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience in a copywriting, content marketing or similar content role and bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience writing blog articles and website copy.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet content and project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Any backend coding experience a plus
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills

The Freight Sales Manager is an integral part of the sales leadership team, responsible for growing, training, and mentoring the Sims Global Solutions Sales teams. In this role, the Freight Sales Manager will lead all aspects of growing a sales organization, dedicated to expanding our Multi-Modal Logistics company including LTL, Truckload, and Warehousing customer base across all emerging product and service offerings. They will be responsible for new customer acquisition and driving continuous growth and improvement across a portfolio of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Sales team comprised of Internal/External/Independent Agents with 2+ yrs of sales experience, responsible for growing our LTL and TL shipper base.
  • Build strong and repeatable outbound sales process, targeting the highest value shippers in the segment, coordinate with Marketing on content, drive execution and hold the team accountable to results.
  • Develop, educate, and implement sales metrics to be reported daily/weekly/monthly/annually.
  • Responsible for top-line and bottom-line growth for the Sims Global portfolio of customers
  • Own objective setting, mentoring, training, motivation, and development of the sales team.
  • Work cross-functionally with claims, marketing, account management, customer success and sales operations teams to drive shipper acquisition and growth by setting and carrying out cohesive go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner with sales enablement to build training and coaching around sales processes, best practices, and tools such as Zoho, DAT, Green Screens, Parade, & LinkedIn
  • Develop your own book of business.
  • Work with Sales staff to hone their sales skills, including traveling with sales members to client locations on sales calls.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of proven experience in a sales role
  • At least 2+ years of hands-on management experience in an acquisition sales environment with experience managing full cycle Sales teams.
  • Freight/logistics experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

National Sales Executive-

POSITION SUMMARY

The role of the National Sales Executive is to grow Sims Global Solutions by securing new, profitable, and sustainable customers in LTL and TL services.  Our Sales Executives are driven to succeed, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are excellent relationship-builders. They will directly generate revenue and drive new business by prospecting new clients, setting face-to-face sales meetings, presenting recommendations for improved logistic operations, and building long term relationships. You will have the support of a state-of-the-art TMS, driven operations teams, and a network of top carriers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
